A 16 km Himalayan pilgrimage trail along the Mandakini river to the ancient Kedarnath temple at 11,755 ft, set against the Kedardome massif.
Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and part of the Char Dham Yatra. The temple sits at 11,755 ft at the head of the Mandakini valley, with the snow peaks of Kedarnath and Kedardome rising right behind it.
The trail from Gaurikund is a well-paved 16 km climb past waterfalls, Jungle Chatti, Bhimbali and Linchauli. It's suitable for first-time trekkers in reasonable health. Ponies, palkis and helicopter services are also available for those who need them.
Our batch includes the drive from Haridwar, stays at Sitapur and Kedarnath, morning darshan, a visit to the Bhairavnath temple and Adi Shankaracharya's samadhi, and a trek leader with you all the way.
